ABOUT THE HEALING MASS
Prayer for Healing of Body and Soul
The Saint Sharbel Healing Mass is a special celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass during which the faithful are invited to bring their intentions for healing — physical, spiritual, and emotional — before the Lord. Following the Mass, Father Youssef Barakat offers individual prayer and anointing with blessed oil of Saint Sharbel for all who seek it.
ANOINTING WITH HOLY OIL
Blessed oil of Saint Sharbel is available at the church after the Healing Mass. All are welcome to receive anointing and individual prayer.
ALL ARE WELCOME
The Healing Mass is open to all — Catholics and non-Catholics alike. You do not need to be a member of the parish to attend or to receive prayer.
BRING YOUR INTENTIONS
Come with your intentions for healing — for yourself, for a loved one, or for any need of body, mind, or spirit. Saint Sharbel intercedes for all who ask.
SAINT SHARBEL AND HEALING
The Miracle Monk of Lebanon
Saint Sharbel Makhlouf (1828–1898) was a Lebanese Maronite monk and hermit whose life of radical prayer, fasting, and Eucharistic devotion drew him into deep union with God. After his death, his tomb became a place of extraordinary miracles and healings that continue to this day, drawing pilgrims from around the world. Pope Paul VI beatified him in 1965 and canonized him in 1977, declaring that Saint Sharbel had 'enriched the entire Christian people.'
